ESV firmly believes in effective safety and chooses to make investments at the front end. This means avoiding risks and identifying them in detail. This is perfectly demonstrated by the technical files that we compile.

If your technical file has been carefully put together (or is at hand), you will have a head start should something go wrong later down the line. In other words: the technical file serves as evidence and shows that you have constructed your machine/installation in accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and related directives.

Contents of the Technical File:

  • Risk analysis
  • Confirmation of applicable requirements in Machinery Directive
  • Clear photos
  • Standards investigation
  • Performance level (PL) calculation
  • User manual
  • Clear diagrams.
  • Drawings
  • Calculations
  • EC Declaration of Conformity
  • Declarations from all suppliers

Specific knowledge about directives and norms is needed in order to compile an effective technical file. Naturally, you can perform these activities yourself, but we would strongly recommend having them inspected. Alternatively, you could make it easy for yourself by outsourcing this task (including all required declarations from your suppliers) to the experienced consultants at ESV. They have compiled a wide range of technical files for the most diverse machines and installations imaginable; from small and simple, to large and very complicated. Over the course of many years.

So take advantage of this practical know-how!
